How it works
To place a new fixed deposit
Step 1: Transfer the minimum required fresh funds to your existing savings/current account
Step 2: Login to UOB Personal Internet Banking > Click "Investment" > Select "Fixed Deposit"
Step 3: Fill in the following details
- Fixed Deposits Account
- Placement Amount
- Placement Currency
- Tenor
- Debiting Account
- Maturity instruction
Once your transaction is successful, your new placement will be shown when you click into the account.
To amend maturity instructions
Step 1: Login to UOB Personal Internet Banking
Step 2: Click "Investment" > Select "Fixed Deposit"
Step 3: Click "Amend" and amend your maturity instruction
Once you have confirmed to proceed, your new maturity instructions will be shown when you click into the account.

Maturity Instruction
1. What are the types of maturity instructions available?
You may select one of the following maturity instructions for your Time/Fixed Deposit:

Option 2
Option 3
For Option 1 or 2 above, the principal amount of the Time/Fixed Deposit including or excluding interest (dependent on the option selected) will continue through one new cycle with same tenor at prevailing interest rate upon maturity of the Time/Fixed Deposit.
For Option 3 above, please ensure to have a subsisting UOB current or savings account for crediting of matured funds from the Time/Fixed Deposit.
2. Can I amend my maturity instruction after I have made a placement?
Yes, you may submit a request to change maturity instruction via UOB Personal Internet Banking:

Once you have confirmed to proceed with your new maturity instruction, you may view your new maturity instructions by clicking on your Time/Fixed Deposit account in UOB Personal Internet Banking and/or TMRW.
Please note that a request to change maturity instruction must be successfully submitted more than 7 calendar days prior to maturity date of the Time/Fixed Deposit. Otherwise, the request will be rejected.
3. Will the maturity date of my Time/Fixed Deposit fall on a non-working day (e.g. Sunday or public holiday)?
No, the maturity date will fall on the next working day and interest for the additional day(s) will be accorded accordingly.
Withdrawal
1. How can I make a withdrawal of my Time/Fixed Deposit?
You may visit any UOB branch in Singapore during the UOB branch’s operating hours to make a withdrawal of your Time/Fixed Deposit. Please bring along your identification documents (e.g. NRIC or passport) for verification purposes.
2. Can I make an early withdrawal of my Time/Fixed Deposit before its maturity date?
Yes, you may visit any UOB branch in Singapore during the UOB branch’s operating hours to make an early withdrawal of your Time/Fixed Deposit. Please bring along your identification documents (e.g. NRIC or passport) for verification purposes.
Please note that you may receive lesser or no interest for early withdrawal of your Time/Fixed Deposit before its maturity.
3. Are there any fees or charges for early withdrawal of Time/Fixed Deposit?
Singapore Dollar Time/Fixed Deposit
There is no withdrawal fee imposed for Singapore Dollar Time/Fixed Deposit.
However, please note that you may receive lesser or no interest for early withdrawal of your Time/Fixed Deposit before its maturity.
Foreign currency Time/Fixed Deposit
Please note that:
- You may receive lesser or no interest for early withdrawal of your Time/Fixed Deposit before its maturity.
- Foreign currency conversion is based on prevailing exchange rate and subjected to exchange rate fluctuations, which may result in you receiving an amount different from the original amount you placed for your Time/Fixed Deposit.

Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors and monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$100,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the CPF Investment Scheme and CPF Retirement Sum Scheme are aggregated and separately insured up to S$100,000 for each depositor per Scheme member. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured.
