Frequently Asked Questions

The bill and tax payment rebate is 6% of all eligible GIRO deductions within the calendar month, subject to cap of S$10, S$25 or S$50 per month, based on minimum eligible Account’s monthly average balance (MAB) of S$30,000, S$75,000 and S$150,000 respectively.

Monthly average balance (MAB) is the summation of each day end balance for each month divided by the number of calendar days for that month.

Yes, you can still pay your individual property taxes or road tax to enjoy the promotion. Other rebate eligible GIRO payment also includes telco bills, utilities bills and Prudential bills.

The GIRO payments must be made from one of the following eligible account - UOB Uniplus Account, UOB One Account, KrisFlyer UOB Account or UOB Lady’s Savings Account.

Yes, a customer who maintains multiple eligible accounts as primary accountholder may earn rebates on each of these accounts. This is subjected to each account satisfying its own eligibility conditions.

Please request the primary or main accountholder to perform the required banking activities (i.e. register mobile number for PayNow, setup of money lock) to meet the promotion eligibility criteria. Your eligible GIRO payments deducted from the joint name eligible account will be eligible for the payment rebate.

The payment rebate (if any) will be credited directly into the same account from which the eligible GIRO deductions were debited within the next (2) calendar months.

Your eligibility will be assessed monthly, and the rebate on qualifying tax payments will be credited into your eligible account by the end of the next 2 calendar months.

For example, if you have met all qualifying conditions - including IRAS tax payment (or any other rebate eligible payment) via GIRO in May 2026, your tax payment rebate will be credited by end of July 2026.

Subsequently, if you continue to pay your taxes or any other rebate eligible payments via GIRO in June 2026 but did not meet other qualifying conditions (for example, you removed money lock by setting Locked Amount to $0), you will not qualify for any payment rebate in the month of June 2026.

Please visit the following web pages for step-by-step guides.
