What does it mean to me?

Once the new SecurePlus token is issued to you and activated, it replaces your old hardware token. Your SecurePlus token, similar to your old hardware token, is required during login to UOB Personal Internet Banking or UOB Mobile. From December 2012, you will also need to use your SecurePlus token to perform transaction signing for the below transactions.

Customers receiving OTP via Mobile Phone

You may continue to use SMS-OTP to login to UOB Personal Internet Banking or UOB Mobile and perform selected transactions as usual. From December 2012, you must use the SecurePlus token to perform transaction signing for the below transactions.

Transactions that require transaction signing:
• Add new payees
• Change of personal particulars and address
• Change of UniAlerts Subscriptions
• Change of funds transfer, bill payment or remittance transaction limits
• Change of One-time Password (OTP) settings
• Transactions with amount higher than the OTP threshold1

1The bank's default OTP threshold amount would be changed from $1,000 to $25,000 from December 2012. If you have personalised your OTP threshold amount before December 2012, your OTP threshold amount will remain unchanged as per your personalisation.
