Fit notes are a more sustainable option as producing new notes results in additional carbon emissions. In the effort to reduce our carbon footprint, you can do your part by choosing Fit notes for this LNY.
Alternatively, we recommend that customers send e-Hongbao via PayNow instead, which is contactless and convenient. In this way, customers can avoid the anticipated increased footfall and possibly longer waiting time at our branches.
No, these LNY ATMs are solely catered for the withdrawal of New/Fit notes from 5 to 18 January 2023 and during the stated operating hours. There will be other ATMs available to perform regular transactions at selected locations. Do refer to the notices displayed at these locations.
The daily ATM withdrawal limit depends on the amount that you have set and includes NETS transactions. Do note that NETS, ATM Withdrawals and 3rd party fund transfer limits will reset on a daily basis.

Yes, the LNY ATMs are an additional channel that we have provided for customers’ convenience. The existing online reservation for customers remains, while only the elderly and vulnerable customers are exceptionally allowed to walk in to our branches for the physical exchange for LNY notes.
No, you are not required to make any reservation as this service is on a first come, first served basis and subject to availability.
