The Bank's flagship Better U learning and development programme which was launched in 2019, has upskilled more than 26,000 employees across markets to build competencies in various banking and core critical skill areas.
In 2025, we introduced an organisation-wide artificial intelligence (AI) upskilling and reskilling initiative where employees will gain foundational GenAI and automation skills, aimed at driving better customer experience. At the 2025 Better U Festival which was graced by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP).
With IBF, we are co-developing accredited programmes in areas such as GenAI, digital literacy and data fluency, and IBF-accredited prompt-crafting workshops. We will also partner WSG to develop initiatives that support career growth, while collaborating with NP on embedding behavioural prompts into learning journeys to drive a mindset shift towards change enablement and adoption.
Our Innovation Academy provides practical courses in AI, data and blockchain, while Better U Pivot Programme guides structured career transitions - empowering colleagues to grow and shape their future.
