Awards of Excellence Presentation Ceremony & World Gourmet Summit Opening Reception The 17th edition of AOE will be kicking off the events in grand style at One Farrer as well as recognising 36 individuals' excellence in the F&B and hospitality industries. This prestigious affair will be attended by trade professionals and gourmands both locally and regionally. The celebration will be followed by an epicurean spread presented by top-notch restaurants and hotels with wines specially selected for the occasion. Pastry Masterclass and afternoon tea ft. Kiriko Nakamura (Weiss Chocolate & Capfruit) With 16 years of professional experience in Japan & Paris under her belt and a book published under her name, critically-acclaimed Chef Patissiere Kiriko Nakamura honed her craft at some of the finest kitchens in France and Tokyo, which includes Michelin-starred restaurants Itinéraires (Paris), Hélène Darroze (Paris), L’Instant d’Or (Paris), and most recently Tirpse (Tokyo). In recognition of Chef Kiriko’s talent, Tirpse temporarily suspended its usual lunch menu in 2015 in favour of a dessert-only tasting menu paired with tea or sake, which received positive reviews in the press. Experience a multi- layered sensory session which lends guests a new perspective towards desserts and be enchanted by her creations. Canadian Flavours ft. Quentin Glabus No one better to showcase the Canadian cuisine than Chef Glabus who represents the Canadian embassy around the world serving up the best of his country. He designed and produced many signature dishes at representational functions. It is only fitting that he was the supervising head Canadian chef at the Canadian Olympic House in Rio de Janeiro during the Olympics last year.
