Now, you can convert your UOB Credit Card partial or full outstanding balances into six or 12 monthly instalments with a low processing fee*!

With UOB SmartPay, you can:

  • Avoid the burden of a lump sum repayment
  • Enjoy the financial flexibility of 0% p.a. instalment plan with a low processing fee*
  • Get an additional interest-free grace period of over 30 days before you need to make your first instalment payment

Illustration:
If your total UOB Credit Card bill is S$4,800, with UOB SmartPay, you only need to pay S$800 per month for the next six months*.

*UOB SmartPay Terms & Conditions

  1. Application for the SmartPay (“SmartPay”) instalment plan received via SMS will only be processed after the call confirmation made by the Bank and the application is subject to the Bank's approval.
  2. A non-refundable one-time processing fee for the SmartPay instalment plan will be charged as follows and is payable in full within the first instalment :
    1. 3% on the Total Amount (EIR of 5.22% p.a.) for a 6-month instalment plan;
    2. 5% on the Total Amount (EIR of 9.5% p.a.) for a 12-month instalment plan
  3. Subject to all the terms herein , the amount to be converted into SmartPay's instalment scheme include partial or total outstanding balances from both principal and supplementary cards (if applicable) of the current month credit card statement balance only (“Total Amount”).
  4. Any amount spent by way of Cash Advance, Balance Transfer, Instalment Payment Plan, Interest Free Loan, SmartPay, Bill Pay Service, fee or interest-related transactions and such other promotions and transactions as the Bank may determine will not be converted into SmartPay’s instalment scheme.
  5. SmartPay is applicable if:
    1. the Total Amount is not less than S$500 and within permanent credit limit;
    2. your account is in good standing as determined by the Bank
  6. SmartPay applications will be processed only if you respond within 10 days upon receipt of your credit card statement. Should your application be rejected or received after the stipulated application period, you are liable to pay the outstanding balance of the said credit card statement by the payment due date, failing which interest and finance charges shall apply.
  7. Payment(s) made by you before your SmartPay application is approved will reduce the Total Amount correspondingly.
  8. Upon approval of your SmartPay application, your available credit limit will be reduced by blocking out an amount equivalent to the Total Amount, but will be progressively restored upon payment(s) received.
  9. SmartPay instalment amount shall be charged to the card account indicated in the application form and reflected in the monthly credit card statement.
  10. Administrative fee of S$100 will be levied for the processing of voluntary card account closure, termination or early repayment of the SmartPay instalment amount.
  11. Reward Points (UNI$) will be reversed and not awarded for successful SmartPay application.

 

Please be informed that with effect from 15 March 2011, UNI$ will not be accorded for SmartPay transactions.
