Cardmembers will earn 10X UNI$ on shopping at any department store or any retail store worldwide that sells clothes, shoes or bags as its main business activity. For example, transactions made at retail outlets such as G2000, Zara, Massimo Dutti and Charles & Keith will be awarded 10X UNI$ regardless of whether the transactions are made locally or overseas. Merchants that sells watches, jewellery or souvenirs as their main business activities are not included in the 10X UNI$ categories, which means clothes, shoes or bags purchased from these mechants will not qualify for 10X UNI$. However, any item purchased from department stores such as Takashimaya, Isetan, OG, Tangs, Robinsons and Metro, will earn 10X UNI$ as the transactions fall within the category of department stores.

No. There is no cap to the maximum UNI$ that you can earn. In fact, the more you spend on your Preferred Platinum American Express Card, the more UNI$ you will get.

Each month, you will receive a single statement and the transactions made on either card are added together to make up one balance. However, we will still indicate the total amounts spend on each of your card so that you can have the flexibility to allocate your payment accordingly. For payment modes such as GIRO, internet banking and via AXS, you will have to make the payments separately. If you are paying via cheque, you will only need to make a single payment by indicating both card numbers and the respective payment amounts at the back of your cheque.

Yes, your Preferred Platinum American Express Card can be used to make a cash advance at all UOB Bank ATMs in Singapore. When you are overseas, you can do cash advance at any ATM which displays the American Express symbol. However, you will not earn rewards on cash advances.

For foreign charges converted by American Express, a foreign currency factor of 3.25% will be added to the converted amount, 1.25% of which will be retained by American Express.
