The UOB 'Grow for Life' Draw (the "Draw") is a six-month promotion organised by United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) for its Singapore dollar savings and current account customers. The promotion will culminate in a grand draw where one lucky winner will be picked.
The winner of the Draw can look forward to picking one of the following fabulous prizes:
- a Porsche Cayenne (worth approximately S$200,000); or
- an Annuity Plan (valued at approximately S$200,000) from UOB Life Assurance Limited; or
- Free Business Class Travel (for up to S$200,000) from UOB Travel Planners Pte Ltd |

What is the qualifying period for the Draw? |
| |
The Draw commences on 1 September 2004 and will end on 28 February 2005, both dates inclusive (the "Qualifying Period"). |

How do I qualify for the UOB Deposits Lucky Draw? |
| |
The Draw is open to all individuals who maintain an average daily credit balance of at least S$5,000 in any of the following eligible accounts:

Draw chances are allotted based on the average daily balance in each eligible account. To qualify for the Draw, each eligible account needs to have an average daily credit balance of at least S$5,000. |

I am a UOB Privilege Banking/UOB Private Banking customer. Do I qualify for the Draw? |
| |
Yes, you do, so long as you hold an eligible account that meets the Terms and Conditions of the Draw. |

I have a UOB corporate account. Do I qualify for the Draw? |
| |
The Draw is open only to individuals holding any of the eligible accounts. If you have an eligible account under your personal name, you will qualify for the Draw so long as you meet the Terms and Conditions of the Draw. You will not be eligible if your account is opened in your company's name. |

| (B) Allocation Of Chances |
| 1. |
How can I earn chances for the Draw? |
| |
You can earn chances for the Draw when you maintain an average daily credit balance of at least S$5,000 in an eligible account in a month. The Draw chances will be allotted as follows: |

|
| |
a. Each eligible account with an average daily credit balance of S$5,000 maintained in a month in the account (the "Minimum Sum") during the Qualifying Period will be allotted 10 Draw chances |
| |
|
| |
b. Each Eligible Account with the Minimum Sum between October 2004 to February 2005,10 lucky draw chances will be awarded in such Month for every S$1,000 (but not part thereof) increase in such Month's Average Daily Credit Balance from its immediately preceding Month's Average Daily Credit Balance. |
| |
|
| |
c. An eligible account opened during the Qualifying Period with at least the Minimum Sum maintained for the month will receive 20 bonus Draw chances (one-time) |

|
| |
d. An eligible account opened before 1 September 2004 with at least the Minimum Sum maintained consecutively in the months of September, October and November 2004 will be allotted loyalty chances in November 2004 according to the following schedule:

What will happen to my Draw chances should I close my account(s) during the Qualifying Period? |
| |
The Draw chances that you have earned on your account(s) will be cancelled if you close your account(s) during the Qualifying Period. |

What will happen to my Draw chances should my average daily credit balance fall below S$5,000 for a particular month? |
| |
You will not be allotted any Draw chances for the month in which your average daily credit balance falls below S$5,000. However, the Draw chances that you have been allotted in previous months, if any, will be accumulated for the Draw. |

My account was opened in September 2004 and my average daily credit balance was S$3,000. If I top-up my account in October 2004 such that my average daily credit balance increases to S$6,000, how many Draw chances will I receive for the month of October? |

If your average daily credit balance increases to S$6,000, you will be allotted a total of 40* Draw chances for the month of October.
* 10 chances for maintaining the average daily credit balance of S$5,000 + 30 chances for the $3,000 increase in your average daily credit balance (10 chances for every $1,000 increase) |

If I close my savings account and open a current account, can I transfer the Draw chances that I have earned on my savings account to my new current account? |
| |
Once an account is closed, the Draw chances that you have accumulated on the account will automatically be forfeited. You will be allotted Draw chances on your new current account only. |

| (C) About the Grand Draw |

There will only be one Grand Draw. |

| (D) About the Draw Prizes |
| 1. |
How will I know if I have been selected as the winner? |
| |
UOB will notify the winner by post at his/her last known address that is in the Bank's records. The Draw results will be published in The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao within seven (7) days from the date of the Grand Draw. |

| 2. |
When and how does the winner claim his/her prize? |
| |
The winner shall indicate his/her choice of prize to UOB within two (2) weeks of being notified that he/she has been selected as the winner. |

| 3. |
Can the winner exchange his/her prize for cash? |
| |
The prize is not exchangeable for cash, unless indicated by Stuttgart Auto Pte Ltd, UOB Life Assurance Limited or UOB Travel Planners Pte Ltd.. |

What if the winning account selected by UOB is a joint account? |
| |
In the event the winning account is a joint account, the selection of the prize shall be made jointly. |

What if one of the joint account holders of the winning account is a minor? |

The share of the prize to the minor will be held in trust by his/her legal guardian until he/she reaches the age of 21 years. |

What if one of the joint-winner is a minor? |
| |
In the event that a joint account is selected as the winning account and one of the joint account-holders is a minor, the selection of the prize will be made jointly. The share of the prize to the minor will be held in trust by his/her legal guardian until he/she reaches the age of 21 years. |

What happens if the winner is not contactable/does not come forward to claim the prize? |

What is the annuity plan prize? |
| |
The annuity plan (UOB Life Maxi Annuity Plan), from UOB Life Assurance Limited, is an investment that allows you to enjoy an income for life. If you pick this as your prize, you will receive a non-taxable monthly income for the rest of your life. This annuity plan is worth about S$200,000. |

Who is eligible for the annuity plan? |
| |

What happens if a joint account is chosen as the winning account and the joint account holders choose the annuity plan as the prize of their choice? |

If both joint-account holders are Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents of Singapore, they are eligible for the annuity plan. The winners can choose one of two options:
Option 1 - Nominate one of the joint-account holders as the Life Assured to receive the monthly annuity payments
Option 2 - Choose to apportion the total amount of S$200,000 into two individual annuity plans, each worth S$100,000 (Note: Joint-account holders will be allocated an equal amount of the total prize). |

What happens if one of the joint-account holders is a minor? |

An equal portion of the total annuity amount will be held in trust by his/her legal guardian until the child reaches the age of 18 years. |

Business Class Travel
The total value of this prize is S$200,000. If the winner picks business class travel, he/she is entitled to free air tickets and/or holiday packages to any destination from UOB Travel Planners Pte Ltd. He/she can redeem his/her prize over the next 30 years, or up to total value of the prize (i.e. S$200,000) whichever is earlier. A minimum redemption of S$7,000 must be made yearly.
