With UOB Cash Management Services (CMS), you can now manage your cash flow and liquidity even more efficiently, ensuring enhanced control over your funds and maximising returns.

What is Cash Management?
Cash Management can generally be defined as the efficient utilisation of cash through coordinated management of payments, collections and cash balances. The objectives are to reduce costs, enhance control and optimise returns.

Traditionally, cash management involved personalised services offered by the bank's staff to the company's treasurer. Transactions were usually initiated by the company's treasurer via mails, telephone calls, faxes or visits to the bank.

With the advent of computer technology, cash management services have been automated to a large extent. Many banks now allow their corporate customers to perform online enquiries and transaction services (payment, collection and liquidity management) through PC or Internet via a web interface. With such a system in place, a company can perform most of the cash management functions themselves without relying on a bank staff to act as the executor of their requests.

What do we offer?

Payment Services
  

Perform bulk payments - Cashier's Order, Cheque, Demand Draft, Inter-Bank GIRO or Telegraphic Transfer - by sending an electronic file of multiple payment instructions to the Bank for batch processing. You can also perform bulk IBG payments via diskettes or enter payments individually via a user-friendly web interface.

Collection Services

  

Perform bulk collections via electronic transmissions or diskettes, and let GIRO collections be processed by the Bank in a convenient and efficient way.

Information Reporting
You can enquire on details of various accounts like Current/Global Currency Accounts, Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit and Singapore Dollar Time Deposit.

Liquidity Management
Liquidity Management lets you achieve maximum returns on excess liquidity and minimise overdraft charges. It comprises of: Account Sweeping Service, which allows actual movement of the debit and credit balances of your various Current Accounts maintained with the Bank for the purpose of computing credit or overdraft interest; and Notional Pooling Service, which only involves notional aggregation of the balances without actual movement of funds.

Deposit Placement
For better returns on surplus funds, you can place SGD Time Deposit and Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit.

Cheque Services
You can check on status of cheques that have been issued and enter stop cheque requests.
