Clearing and Payment Services
- UOB is one of the largest providers of Singapore Dollar (SGD) clearing services to financial institutions. We are a direct member and a dominant participant of all the clearing systems in Singapore.
  
  Leveraging on our large corporate customer base, about 70% of our transactions are processed in-house via book transfers, thus ensuring operational efficiency. In addition, as one of the major SGD liquidity providers in the market, we ensure that your payments, including high value payments, are effected on a timely basis through the MAS Electronic Payment System (MEPs), a Real-time Gross Settlement System.
  
  UOB is also able to provide account and clearing services to financial institutions in other major currencies such as the US Dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Australian Dollar and Swiss Franc.
CLS SGD Nostro Services
- As one of the major SGD liquidity providers in the market, UOB is able to support financial institutions by effecting their CLS SGD payments in a timely manner.
Cheque Services
SGD Cash Letter Service
- UOB’s SGD Cash Letter Service covers all SGD cheques and demand drafts that are drawn on banks in Singapore.
  
  The cash letter schedule must be accompanied by the original cheques except for return items wherein an imaged replacement document is acceptable. The cheques must be issued no more than 6 months ago. The schedule must be fully completed and alterations must be endorsed.
Clean Collections
- UOB offers financial institutions the option of having their SGD cheques handled on a collection basis. Under our Collection Service, we will only credit your account upon receipt of good funds from the drawee bank.
Outsourcing Solutions
- UOB offers cheque clearing and Giro clearing services to banks domiciled in Singapore that do not have direct access to the clearing systems.
Liquidity Management
Notional Pooling
- UOB offers notional pooling solutions to organisations with decentralised operational structures that want to preserve the autonomy of their subsidiaries and accounts.
  
  In notional pooling, the participant accounts in a single currency are aggregated for interest compensation purposes. Funds are not physically moved but are notionally combined.
  
  Notional Pooling allows you to:
  - Minimise interest expense by offsetting debit and credit positions
  - Preserve autonomy, control and record keeping
  - Benefit from offsetting without commingling the funds
Cash Sweeping
- UOB Cash Sweeping Solution is an automated solution that concentrates end-of-day balances from a source account to a target account. Funds are physically moved and concentrated in the target account.
  
  Cash Sweeping allows you to:
  - Concentrate balances
  - Maximise return on excess liquidity
  - Minimise interest expense
Channel Management
- UOB Business Internet Banking (BIB) helps to enhance the efficiency of your business and improve the way you manage your cash flow.
